Kaddam (Peddur) is a small town and a mandal in Adilabad district in Telangana region in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Some are refer Kaddam as Kadam or Kadem. People living in this town are mainly work in retail shops, private small business enterprises, few government offices and belongs to Hindu, Muslim and Christian religions majorly. Some people work on fishing activities in the side by reservoir. Some people work on agriculture activities. Majority of transoprtation in the town is by two wheelers. Town has one government hospital, one police station, two banks: state bank of Hyderabad and Grameena Bank. A SBH ATM is being under construction as on (5 December 2011). Internet facility is available to the town. Nearby petrol bunk is around 15 km away towrds Nirmal at Tarlapaad (near Khanapur) and is around 20 km away towards Mancherial at Jannaram. But one can get petrol and diesel from local vendors during day time. There are no lodges available for night stay. But there is Government R&B Guest house available. One can stay over there with approval from corresponding authority. Few hotels available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. An Intermediate government college is available in this town. This small town has agricultural fields towards east side. There is big reservoir towards north and west side. Moderate forest is available towards south side. Small private clinics available.
Kaddam is surrounded by jungle and once had a landlord by the name of Narayan G. Reddy who was an M.L.A and M.P for the state. It is completely tribal and rural.
Transportation: The town is connected only by road. It is on the state highway from Nirmal to Mancherial. Small part of this road is proposed to upgrade to National Highway as on 3rd january 2012. If the project is clreared by Indian government then the portion of this road from (khanapur to utnoor junction road in forest) becomes the part of proposed National High way. Kaddam is 48 km away from Nirmal. It is 100 km away from Mancherial. 35 km away from Utnoor. 100 km away from Adilabad. There are many buses available from Nirmal. There are many buses available from Mancherial. Average frequency is one bus/hour during day time either sides. There are two buses available to Hyderabad daily. One during day time (around 12:00pm) and one during night at 8:15pm.
